Jane Austen never married throughout her life. When Jane was 21, she was in love with a man; however, because of the social and family pressure, they didn’t marry. But it doesn’t mean that she was pessimistic about love and marriage.

In her books, the hero and heroine were first having some misunderstanding about each other. But with time passed by, they knew each other and felt in love with each other, and had a happy ending. Just like Jane Austen said that “My characters will have，after a little bit of trouble，all that they desire.”

Through her works, we can find that to Austen, love is not the only thing that matters in marriage. In Pride and Prejudice, the author pointed that marriage was a social affairs, and it was connected with material wealth and many other things. However, as Elisabeth said in this book “No love but with tens of millions should not get married”, this is the view of Elizabeth and is also Austin’s view. Elizabeth refused Darcy’s proposal at the first time, though Mr. Darcy was rich and noble, just like Austen refused the proposal of Harris Bigg-Wither, a wealthy young man. They both couldn’t bear to marry a man who they didn’t love. The difference is Austen gave her heroine a happy ending in the book, while she herself kept single throughout her life.

Austen despised the marriage without love, just like the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. But she also opposed to the marriage without economy basis. Love and material wealth are both indispensable in marriage.

We know Facebook, the lagrest social networking site in the world, and you may be using it right now. Last week, when Facebook pioneered the use of online campainging, we begin to pay attention to Chris Hughes, a Co-founder of Facebook.

I try to search some information about Chris Hughes from the Internet- Hughes graduated from Harvard College with a bachelors degree in history and literature; he is an Entrepreneur in Residence at General Catalyst Partners, where he focuses on identifying new investment opportunities and supporting strategic business development initiatives in the areas of consumer services, Internet and new media, and disruptive technology. And those above are all the information that I can get. What a low-pitched man.

Recently, we are informed of the news that Chris Hughes declared a new invented programme, that is to found a new website called Jumo for a charity institution. Jumo aims at creating a longer relationship between devoters and the devoting reasons. According to Hughes, “ If you could help people find these institutions and needs and combine them with each other, then you would uncover large quantities of unprecedented resources. That is quite different from the feeling when you devote 10 dollars to a known institution.” Jumo is registered as an unprofitable institution and it has had only 3 staff up to now.

The world today paces quite fast and is badly in need of all kinds of resources, especially humans. And Chris Hughes is just the right kind. This kind of people do not have many advantages when they were born. They can’t get much from their parents; however, they know themselves well and take the most of the advantages of themselves and zeised every opportunity reaching them; thus they achieved success at last and try to do good to the society, which gives success to them. I admire this kind of people, like Chris Hughes.

Morgan Freeman is an American actor, film director, and narrator. I really like Morgan Freeman’s way of acting. He was always relaxed. By the time he was famous, it seemed as though actor Morgan Freeman already had a long and venerable career.

He is noted for his reserved demeanor and authoritative speaking voice. Freeman has received Academy Award nominations for his performances in Street Smart, Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption and Invictus and won in 2005 for Million Dollar Baby. He has also won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Freeman has appeared in many other box office hits, including Unforgiven, Glory, Seven, Deep Impact, The Sum of All Fears, Bruce Almighty, Batman Begins, The Bucket List, Evan Almighty, Wanted, and The Dark Knight.

Freeman would not gain widespread exposure until he landed the Oscar-nominated role of the volatile pimp Fast Black in “Street Smart”. Because of that performance, Freeman catapulted into national prominence, quickly becoming a household name and one of Hollywood’s most distinguished performers. He was nominated again just two years later for his portrayal of Hoke Coleburn in “Driving Miss Daisy”, a role reprised from a previous off-Broadway stint. A third nomination for “The Shawshank Redemption” further cemented Freeman’s already esteemed image as a quality actor. Though it took another decade to actually win an Academy Award – his performance in Clint Eastwood’s “Million Dollar Baby” finally earned him the golden statue – Freeman had by then firmly established himself as one of the finest and most revered performers of his generation.

Olivier Gruner is a former Commando Marine and World Kickboxing Champion. He became an actor specializing in the field of physical fitness. Gruner was born into a family where both his father and brother became noted surgeons and his younger brother became an engineer.
After seeing a Bruce Lee movie at age 11, Gruner became captivated with martial arts and began studying Shotokan Karate, and then boxing and kickboxing.
In 1981 Gruner left the French military to train full time to compete professionally as a kickboxer. He traveled to the French Alps and began training to fight professionally. In order to pay for his training expenses, he had to hold down four jobs, as a bouncer, a ski patrol member, a trainer and a ski lift operator. In 1984, he began fighting professionally as a kickboxer in France. After 10 professional fights, he became the French middleweight champion. By 1985, his successes in the ring allowed him to train and fight full time ,and in 1986, he became World Middleweight Kickboxing Champion. Having achieved his dream of becoming World Champion, in 1987, he retired to pursue a career as an actor and model.
Discovered at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival, he began a film career. Gruner joined Imperial Entertainment and began acting in action movie in 1990 with the urban action movie Angel Town and Albert Pyun’s cyberpunk 1992 sci-fi thriller Nemesis. Gruner has stayed with Imperial Entertainment and gone on to perform in Automatic, Savate, Mercenary, Mars, Interceptors, and T.N.T.. Ultimately he appeared in 27 films and three television series, and develop a reputation as a hard working, disciplined Hollywood actor.
Throughout his career after leaving the ring, Gruner maintained his passion for fitness, continuing the brutally demanding physical regimen he had developed and maintained through his military and kickboxing career and adding to it the skills needed to pursue his other demanding physical hobbies. His most recently role was in an episode of Martial Law entitled “Wildlife”. Let’s rember him.In some way ,he told us that we should learn to enjoy our life and how to face every challenge. It is really important to us.

Steven Soderbergh is an American film producer, screenwriter, cinematographer, editor, and an Academy Award-winning film director. He is best known for directing the films Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Erin Brockovich, Traffic, Ocean’s Eleven, Che and The Informant!

It wasn’t until Soderbergh came back to Baton Rouge that he conceived the idea for Sex, Lies, and Videotape, which he wrote in eight days. The independent film won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, became a worldwide commercial success and greatly contributed to the 1990s independent film revolution. At age 26, Soderbergh became the youngest director to win the festival’s top award. Movie critic Roger Ebert dubbed Soderbergh the “poster boy of the Sundance generation”.

Steven Soderbergh

Sex, Lies, and Videotape was followed by a series of low-budget box-office disappointments: Kafka, a biopic mixing fact and Kafka’s own fiction; King of the Hill, a critically acclaimed Depression-era drama; The Underneath, a remake of Robert Siodmak’s 1949 film noir Criss Cross; and Schizopolis, a comedy which he starred in, wrote, composed, and shot as well as directed. He also directed the Spalding Gray monologue film Gray’s Anatomy in 1996.

Making good on his Schizopolis-inspired “artistic wake-up call”, his commercial slump ended in 1998 with Out of Sight, a stylized adaptation of an Elmore Leonard novel. The film was widely praised, though only a moderate box-office success. It reaffirmed Soderbergh’s potential, sparking the beginnings of a lucrative artistic partnership between Clooney and Soderbergh.

Soderbergh followed up on the success of Out of Sight by making another crime caper, The Limey, from an original screenplay by Lem Dobbs and starring veteran actors Terence Stamp and Peter Fonda. The film was well-received, but not as much as Erin Brockovich, a “Rocky movie” he directed. Later that year, Soderbergh released Traffic, a social drama written by Stephen Gaghan and featuring an ensemble cast. Traffic became his most acclaimed movie since Sex, Lies, and Videotape, and earned him an Academy Award for Best Director. He was also nominated that same year for Erin Brockovich. He is the only director to have been nominated in the same year for Best Director for two different films by the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes and the Directors Guild of America.

Cruz has been awarded three Goyas, two European Film Awards, and the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival. Cruz’s first major films were Jamon, jamon and Belle Epoque, a film which won an Academy Award for Foreign Language Film; she was aged sixteen in her first film. The latter of these nominations made her the first Spanish actress to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress.

In 2009, she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, a Goya, and a BAFTA for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. She is Spain’s first female Oscar winner and also becomes the sixth Hispanic person to win an Oscar after Jose Ferrer, Rita Moreno, Benicio del Toro, Anthony Quinn, and fellow Spaniard Javier Bardem. Cruz was nominated for her third Academy Award in 2010 for her role as Carla Albanese in the film version of the musical Nine. This nomination marked only the third time in the history of the Oscars where the winner of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress was nominated for Best Supporting Actress again in the following year (the other actresses to have achieved this were Estelle Parsons in 1967 and 1968 and Lee Grant in 1975 and 1976).

She is the first Spanish actress to win an Academy Award, and one of the only actors besides Robert De Niro and Ingrid Bergman to win the Oscar for a role speaking two different languages. Besides the Oscar, Cruz won the BAFTA, the Independent Spirit Award, the National Board of Review Award, and the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actress in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. She also earned Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations for her role.

Jason Mraz was born on July 23. He hails from Mechanicsville, VA, where the singer/songwriter grew up amidst the sounds of the Dave Matthews Band and local roots musicians the Agents of Good Roots. However, it was Mraz’s interest and participation in musical theater that served as his first introduction to music. Following high school, he moved to New York to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, but dropped out a year later when he took up the guitar and began to focus on songwriting. Nonetheless, Mraz’s training as a vocalist would later show itself on his debut album, which was marked by the pure clarity and range of his tenor range.
After busking around New York, Mraz eventually returned to Virginia; in 1999, however, he made his way out West and settled in San Diego, CA, having been drawn to the city’s coffeehouse scene and historical support of singer/songwriters, most notably Jewel. Mraz began playing shows and soon landed a weekly residency at the local hot spot Java Joe’s, which had previously played host to Jewel during the early stages of her career. He also formed a duo with drummer Noel “Toca” Rivera, who accompanied Mraz’s acoustic material by banging the djembe. Together, the musicians honed a live show that featured as much comedic banter as actual music.
Over the next two years, Mraz’s following expanded outside of the San Diego limits and began to encompass Los Angeles, garnering the attention of record labels. Mraz signed to Elektra Records in early 2002 and returned to Virginia to write and record his debut album, a project that saw him working with producer John Alagia and his high school heroes, the Agents of Good Roots, who became his backing band. The resulting effort, Waiting for My Rocket to Come, was released that same November, blending Mraz’s early influences with elements of country, roots rock, and coffeehouse folk. The buoyant first single “Remedy [I Won't Worry],” which Mraz had co-written with pop hitmakers the Matrix, proved to be a big hit, and Mraz headed out on the road to support it. One of those shows, an October 2003 date at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, was later documented on Mraz’s summer 2004 live release Tonight, Not Again. The album tided his fans over until July 2005, when the songwriter returned with the sophomore studio effort Mr. A-Z. Mraz’s popularity reached a new high in 2008 with the release of We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things, which peaked at number three and spawned his first chart-topping single, “I’m Yours.” The concert album, Jason Mraz’s Beautiful Mess: Live on Earth, followed in 2009.
New ideas and Changing is so important in the modern society.Jason Mraz is a singer/songwriter advance with the times. His music comes from our society. We love him and his music.

It was the 1971 film The Panic in Needle Park, in which he played a heroin addict, that would bring Pacino to the attention of director Francis Ford Coppola, who cast him as Michael Corleone in the blockbuster 1972 Mafia film The Godfather. Pacino’s performance earned him an Academy Award nomination, and offered a prime example of his early acting style, described by Halliwell’s Film Guide as “intense” and “tightly clenched”.

Pacino’s career slumped in the early 1980s, and his appearances in the controversial Cruising were critically panned. However, 1983’s Scarface, directed by Brian DePalma, proved to be a career highlight and a defining role. Upon its initial release, the film was critically panned but did well at the box office, grossing over US$45 million domestically. Pacino earned a Golden Globe nomination for his role as Cuban drug dealer/lord Tony Montana.

Pacino received an Oscar nomination for playing Big Boy Caprice in the box office hit Dick Tracy, followed by a return to one of his most famous characters, Michael Corleone, in The Godfather Part III. In 1991, Pacino starred in Frankie and Johnny with Michelle Pfeiffer, who co-starred with Pacino in Scarface. He would finally win the Academy Award for Best Actor.

On October 20, 2006, the American Film Institute named Pacino the recipient of the 35th AFI Life Achievement Award. On November 22, 2006, the University Philosophical Society of Trinity College, Dublin awarded Pacino the Honorary Patronage of the Society.

Alba later appeared in various films including Honey, Sin City, Fantastic Four, Into the Blue, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Good Luck Chuck. She has also won various awards for her acting, including the Choice Actress Teen Choice Award and Saturn Award for Best Actress, and a Golden Globe nomination for her lead role in the television series Dark Angel.

Alba is considered a sex symbol and often generates media attention for her looks. She appears frequently on the “Hot 100″ section of Maxim and was voted number one on AskMen.com’s list of “99 Most Desirable Women” in 2006, as well as “Sexiest Woman in the World” by FHM in 2007.

You can say she is a vase, but she is also the most beautiful vase. In the interview, Alba said she wants to be taken seriously as an actress but believes she needs to do movies that she would otherwise not be interested in to build her career, stating that eventually she hopes to be more selective in her film projects. We can not deny that Jessica’s strength and beauty left a deep impression to us. But more importantly, she is an actor with a great determination and she has the ability to take people into the story of her being. So now Jessica Alba is an angel of the whole United States.
